HISTORY OF SPORTS FIGHT

There are several theories about the origin of wrestling as part of human culture. In some, wrestling is seen as an element of a religious cult (see below the “bear fight” among the ancient Slavs). In ancient Greece and Rome, the struggle was considered primarily a method of general physical education. The peoples of the Far East have adopted a philosophical-idealistic interpretation of the struggle: the struggle of yin and yang, light and darkness, good and evil, etc. Continue reading →
